Gihan R.Cooray | Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Gihan R. Cooray is the Chief Executive Officer of NDB Securities (Private) Limited (NDBS), with over two decades of experience in Sri Lanka’s capital markets. He commenced his career as a Research Analyst at First Capital DSA Securities and joined NDBS in 2003. Over the past 15 years, he has held several senior management roles within NDBS and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2020. He has been the lead advisor for a majority of significant transactions for NDBS and is a key member of the leadership team of the NDB Capital Group. In 2023, Mr. Cooray was appointed President of the Colombo Stock Brokers Association (CSBA), where he represents the stockbroking industry in engagements with regulators, policymakers, and market stakeholders. Mr. Cooray holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK, and has completed the High Potentials Leadership Program at Harvard Business School, USA.

Surangi Widanaarachchi | Vice President - Finance and Operations

Ms. Surangi Widanaarachchi joined NDBS in 2003 and presently oversees the finance and operations functions of the Company. She holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura and is a CBA of ICASL. She has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance.

Jayantha Samarasinghe | Senior Vice President - Advisory

Mr. Jayantha Samarasinghe - Senior Vice President - Advisory. He joined in 1994 and has been in the stockbroking and investment advisory field for the past 29 years. He has been instrumental in handling significant merger and acquisition transactions for the company. He is experienced in handling investment advisory services to foreign and local high net worth & institutional clients.

Aroos Faleel | Vice President - Advisory

Mr. Aroos Faleel is currently the Vice President - Advisory of Sales. He is in charge of branch operations and the retail team. He was instrumental in successfully setting up the branch network. He joined NDBS in 2000 as a Research Assistant and has been in the stock broking and investment advisory field for the past 21 years.

Nalin Wickramatilleke | Assistant Vice President - Information Technology

Mr. Nalin Wickramatilleke joined NDBS in 2009, and currently functions as the Head of IT. He counts for over 22 years of experience in the field of information technology related to Stock Broking, Leasing, Shipping, Garment Manufacturing and several other industries. He holds the associate member state of the Australian Computer Society.

Nikita Tissera | Vice President - Research

Nikita Joined NDBS in 2023 as VP Research heading the research unit. He had been an analyst of both debt and equity in SL capital markets for over 15 years. Nikita is graduate in Economics and Management degree from the London School of Economics.
